Completion of Upper Secondary Education by Country

The Completion of Upper Secondary Education by Country ranking compares countries based on their year-over-year percentage change in the share of the population aged 25+ who have completed upper secondary education. Countries with the largest increases rank higher, reflecting progress in expanding access to education and improving human capital development.

Myanmar ranks #1 in 2020, showing a positive change from 22.76 to 61.79. Guinea takes #2 with a positive change from 7.39 to 32.50, and Tunisia is #3, showing a positive change from 19.44 to 43.94.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan, Timor-Leste, and Kiribati are at the bottom of the ranking. Kyrgyzstan shows a negative change from 91.52 to 65.32, Timor-Leste sees a negative change from 41.45 to 14.93, and Kiribati has a negative change from 74.02 to 45.88.
