The Human Development Index by Country ranking evaluates nations based on longevity, education, and living standards, ranking those with higher HDI scores higher to reflect progress in health, knowledge, and quality of life.
Botswana ranks #1 in 2022, showing a positive change from 0.68 to 0.71. Andorra takes #2 with a positive change from 0.86 to 0.88, and Armenia is #3, showing a positive change from 0.77 to 0.79.
Meanwhile, Samoa, Yemen, and Ukraine are at the bottom of the ranking. Samoa shows a negative change from 0.71 to 0.70, Yemen sees a negative change from 0.43 to 0.42, and Ukraine has a negative change from 0.76 to 0.73.
